Most jeans are designed for a 185cm man and scaled down. The rise sits too low, the knee hits in the wrong place, the pockets hang too far down your thigh, and the taper starts nowhere near where it should. You end up with a jean that technically fits your waist but looks off everywhere else.
We built the Jet Black Slim Tapered Jean differently. Every measurement in the fit block - the rise, hip, knee, taper was engineered from the ground up for a 5'9" frame. Nothing was scaled. Zero compromises.

The Fit
The proportions on this jean were developed through multiple sampling rounds and refined at every stage.
The front and back rise are set specifically for your build so the waistband sits exactly where it should, the yoke seam falls in the right position across your back, and the pocket openings land where your hands naturally go. The knee sits at the correct point on your leg, and the taper through the lower leg is gradual and intentional, finishing with a neat leg opening that works with both sneakers and dress shoes.
The Fabric
99% Cotton, 1% Elastane cotton denim.
The elastane content is kept deliberately minimal - just enough to give the fabric memory and allow a full range of movement without the soft, synthetic feel of heavily stretched denim. The result is a fabric with the structure and weight of a proper jean, with the ease of wear you need for all day use.
The Wash
Jet black wash with a clean, even colour across the full garment.
The wash finish is treated to minimise lint attraction, a common issue with black denim that shows up quickly on cheaper garments. The colour is consistent and deep, making this jean equally at home dressed up or dressed down.
The Construction
Heavy mercerised topstitching thread, dyed to match.
Scoop front pockets with precisely positioned openings, backed with 100% cotton pocket bag lining in a colour-matched fabric.
Back patch pockets with proportionally sized and positioned detailing to suit the fit block.
Felled yoke seam and felled inleg seam for durability and a clean interior finish.
Bartacking at all stress points.
Double-turned leg hem.
Custom branded embossed leather-like back patch.
Custom branded antique gunmetal stand button.
Custom branded antique gunmetal rivets.
YKK metal zip with antique gunmetal finish and colour-matched zip tape.
All metal trims are nickel and lead free, with no sharp edges.
